But then there was a leak by a source located at Foxconn, which is the company responsible for manufacturing the iPhone 4 for Apple. According to the source at Foxconn, the next model was just an upgrade on the iPhone 4 as Apple was not ready to launch a new model at that time. Time proved that this Foxconn lead was exactly right and Apple delivered the iPhone 4S in the later part of 2011. Now again, there are a lot of rumours echoing in the market that the iPhone 5 is about to be launched in the near future.

The Foxconn lead has also confirmed that Apple is in fact working on a new phone and therefore, the hype about the launch of the iPhone 5 is basically spot on. The hype though is not only concentrated on whether or not a new model will be launched, but people have started wondering about the new iPhone 5 specifications.
