What to Expect from the new iPhone 5?

With the Apple iPhone 4 still selling extremely well around the world, there is a big buzz going on about the iPhone 5, which is going to rock the smart phone world once again. Though, there is no formal claim about this sensational phone including when it is going to hit the market and what goodies it is going to contain, like the previous models of the iPhone from Apple, it sure is going to be an iconic smart phone.

With the announcement of the Galaxy III from Samsung, there was word that Apple was going to follow suit sometime soon and announce the release of the iPhone 5. One of the reasons that the iPhone 5 is somewhat delayed is that Apple is still earning solid revenue off its latest in market model of the iPhone 4 – the iPhone 4S. Not only are the sales high, there are not that many customer complaints that would force Apple to quickly develop its next model. The iPhone 4 came with 3G technology, which is not even available in some of the leading counties in the world, so for Apple there is no need to rush things. The manufacturer is even giving latest updates on the iPhone 4S model with regular intervals which also shows that there is nothing quickly cooking in Apple’s design lab.

The most elemental thing about any smartphone is its shape. Nokia has released some of its boldest mobile phone designs that have made their mark like the N9 and similar phones. Other leading smart phone makers including Sony Ericsson, LG and Motorola are also making smart phones beefed up to perform, exhilarate and entertain. But as the tradition of Apple goes, its new release is expected to leave everyone far behind in the race of wireless communication technology.

Rumors about the new Apple phone

Coming to the rumors about the i Phone 5, the shape of this smart phone is expected to be much of the same as the previous models from Apple. However, there is word on the street that it is going to be available in a curvy body, slimmer in thickness and with specs that are going to make you fall in love with it immediately. It may seem that the idea of lessening the thickness of the iPhone5 might have been inspired by the announcement of the Galaxy III or Nokia N9, but that is not entirely true. There have been such reports of the size far before any of these cell phones were formally announced.

Another thing that most of the smart phone enthusiasts are waiting for is to get a sure reply on the processor and operating system of the new iPhone. One thing that most of the Apple fans want to know is whether it is going to be an iPhone 5 4G or something else. Well, the answer to the question is that with 4G recently being announced in the world of telecommunication, there is much time left for 5G to roll over. It is going to take almost another seven to eight years to get to 5G, so you can expect 4G from it. When it comes to the processor and OS, this certainly is a big debate.  Of course, the operating system is going to be the generic Apple one, but with what features and interface, only time will reveal. The iPhone 4 came with a Dual-core 1.0GHz Cortex-A9 processor, so the iPhone 5 is certainly going to be a much healthier phone that is muscled up for peak performance. It should employ a dual core 2.0GHz at the minimum.

Many people love to snap a ton of pictures with their phone camera. Samsung just came up with a few models of smart phones for the Chinese market with a 13MP camera. Yes, you read it right, 13MP. Obviously, those just dying to get their hands on the future device can expect a similar camera in their love mate.  Geo-tagging, face and smile detection technology and zooming would obviously be standard. The camera on the face of this smart phone is expected to be somewhere between 1.3MP to 3.15MP, which is of course quite a nice feature in mobile camera technology, especially if it is 3.15MP or higher.

Screen and memory features

Not to forget the screen of the device, Apple has aimed high. 3.5-inches is good, but with most other smart phones coming with display sizes between 4” to 4.5”, this iPhone model should be somewhere between these two numbers.  The display type of this smart phone is also expected to be what the previous model came with, obviously a back-lit LED TFT touch screen with a scratch resistant glass on the top and something like oleo phobic coating to make everything flow smooth and clear with a swipe of a finger.

Many expect Apple to give the iPhone 5 64GB of memory before anything else, but reports from different sources concerning this smart phone start at 16GB. Some of the other vital features of this smart device that are expected are things like a microSD card slot for memory extension, ample entertainment features like a top of the line music player, and integrated social media tools like its predecessors.

For those who love to socialize and communicate, Apple’s soon to be released phone is definitely going to be an all in one gadget with communication simply not a problem. High speed Wi-Fi and 3G data transmission along with 4G communications are expected to be its topical features. Other than this, the iPhone 4S also came with the TV out port and USB port and of course the iPhone 5 is going to have the same, maybe more, but not less. Other news covering this smart smartphone includes the device having an HDMI port as well, but it all will be unraveled as time goes on.

Overall, like all the previous models of Apple iPhones, the up coming phone is going to be an iconic smart phone, with an expected announcement coming around late summer this year.
